Nordic Employment Law Update

Webinar

November 27, 2025 08:30 AM CET

Join us for an update of what is happening in the employment law landscape in the Nordics.

During this hour-long webinar, our Nordic colleagues will guide you through the latest employment law developments across Finland, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. We will cover legislative updates, new case law, trends and developments, and practical recommendations.

From Finland, we will get a general overview of the latest changes in Finnish employment law, such as the expected reform relating to lowering the threshold for terminating employment and the most recent case law regarding terminations during a trial period. Norway will take a closer look at recent case law regarding dismissals and some of the legislative changes entering into force on January 1, 2026, including practical changes to the age limit regulations.

For Denmark, we will give you an update on the implementation of the pay transparency directive including what employers can already start considering now, and we will also cover the European Court of Justice’s judgment on handicap by association in relation to indirect discrimination as well as the Danish Board of Equal Treatment’s newest decision on handicap by association. And finally, from Sweden, we will hear about the latest developments on whistleblower protection, background checks, agency workers and learn about the surprisingly strong employee protection against discrimination of employees returning from parental leave.

Our legal advisors will cover this and much more in this Nordic Employment Law Update.

Welcome!
